Our approach
At Creative Minds - Art Therapy, I work with children and young people who may benefit from emotional support through art therapy, including those with additional needs, trauma histories, or difficulties expressing themselves verbally. I also support children in care and vulnerable young people, offering sessions within schools and one-to-one privately. Through creative processes, I help children develop a visual and sensory language — enabling those who are non-verbal or have communication challenges, such as children with autism, to express and connect in meaningful ways.

What makes us different
What makes my practice different is the depth of experience I bring from over 20 years of working closely with children. My background as an art teacher has given me deep insight into how children communicate, create, and connect. As a qualified Art Therapist, my focus is no longer on teaching art, but on using creativity therapeutically — guiding and holding each child as they explore, express, and discover themselves in a safe, supportive space.

Committed to quality and care
As an HCPC-registered, BAAT-accredited Art Therapist in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Creative Minds - Art Therapy is guided by care, creativity, and compassion, with specialist experience in SEND. I am committed to providing trauma-informed support for children and young people, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for their therapeutic journey.
"Every child is unique, capable, and full of potential. My work nurtures each child’s sense of self, helping them feel seen, valued, and empowered to recognise their strengths and discover their own voice through creativity and care."
