Information
Getting in touch is simply the first step in exploring what support might be most helpful for your child or setting. I’ll respond as soon as possible so we can reflect together on what feels right. My approach is collaborative and flexible, and I can also draw on a trusted network of other professionals where additional input would be beneficial. As an HCPC-registered, BAAT-accredited Art Therapist, I offer trauma-informed support for children and young people, guided by care, creativity, and compassion, with specialist experience in SEND.

Worries and hesitations
Confidentiality and Professional Standards: Everything shared within art therapy is confidential. As a registered member of both the HCPC and BAAT, I am legally and ethically bound to maintain professional standards of confidentiality, safeguarding, and good practice. Any exceptions to confidentiality, such as safeguarding concerns, will always be discussed with you where possible.
Availability and Flexibility: I understand that each family and setting has different needs. I offer flexible appointment times, including within the school day or after school hours, to ensure therapy is accessible and consistent.
Cost and Commitment: I appreciate that therapy is an investment of both time and resources. Costs and session structure can be discussed openly before starting, and I can offer guidance about frequency, duration, and suitability so that any decision feels informed and comfortable.

Additional information
Materials and Resources: All creative materials are provided, ensuring children have safe and appropriate tools to express themselves freely during sessions.
Location and Flexibility: I offer sessions in a dedicated, contained studio space or, where appropriate, within schools and other approved settings. I can also travel to suitable locations where a safe and private environment can be maintained. Each venue is carefully risk-assessed to ensure confidentiality and emotional safety.
Session Times: I aim to be flexible to meet the needs of families, schools, and organisations, offering appointments within the school day, after school hours, or at agreed times that best support consistency and accessibility.
Safe Framework: All work takes place within safe and professionally appropriate settings — never in public or unregulated environments. This ensures that therapeutic boundaries and confidentiality are upheld at all times.
