Our Approach To Art Therapy
Discover how Creative Minds - Art Therapy provides a safe and supportive space for children and young people to explore their inner worlds through creative expression. Learn about our trauma-informed approach and how we can help.

A Safe and Containing Space
At Creative Minds - Art Therapy, my role is to provide a safe, containing, and attuned space where each child can explore their inner world through art. Within this therapeutic relationship, creative expression becomes a form of communication – a way to externalise and process thoughts, feelings, and sensory experiences that may be difficult to articulate verbally. I work with parents, carers, professionals, and schools seeking therapeutic support for children and young people.

Intuitive and Relational Therapy
I work intuitively and relationally, drawing on trauma-informed, attachment-based, and psychodynamic approaches, while recognising that no two children are the same and that healing is rarely linear. My practice emphasises empathy, co-regulation, and the gentle pacing of therapeutic change, allowing time and space for emotional integration. This includes schools wanting to develop trauma-informed or creative wellbeing curriculums, or to provide one-to-one and group art therapy sessions.

Comprehensive Support
I also collaborate with social care teams and local authorities, offering experienced therapeutic input for children in care and those needing specialist emotional support. As a mother, therapist, teacher, and nature-inspired practitioner, I bring both professional accreditation and human understanding to every encounter.
"Creative Minds - Art Therapy has been instrumental in supporting our students' emotional wellbeing. Their trauma-informed approach and compassionate care have made a significant difference."
